Pankaj is talented - S Narayan

Missing on the contents of ‘Cheluvina Chilipili’ to the media persons at the audio release and of course meeting them on the pre release of the film reputed director, disciplined technician and over all a good human being S.Narayan convened a media meet on Friday morning to give more details of his son Pankaj and Rupika starring second film ‘Cheluvina Chilipili’. The film is releasing on 28th of this month. It has got the censor 15 days ago and one and half months ago S Narayan decided on the date of the release of his home production ‘CC’.

My son Pankaj is talented. He needs the media support for progress in the film career. As a technician and actor too in me I have seen his application of mind. Needs support from media he stressed. Pankaj’s earlier debut film ‘Chaitradha Chandrama’ is not an expected failure. It was purposefully made to lose alleged Narayan. It has run for 8 to 10 weeks in many places.

Pointing to the subject of the film ‘CC’ he said how the children should behave with elders and how the elders should look after their children is carefully handled in a sweet screenplay. This is a whole family entertainer says Narayan.

Pointing to Rupika the actress the eminent director S Narayan told that she has the range of Kalpana and Arathi the yesteryear actresses. Karanth for his caliber, Sounder Raj for his workmanship, Sunder for his right approach received good applaud from director S.Narayan.

Punith’s next movie "Prithvi"

The power star Puneeth Rajakumar the non stop super hit films ‘Badshah’ of Kannada cinema is playing the title role in ‘Prithvi’. The caption says it is the ultimate power!

Additional information to Puneeth Rajakumr ‘Prithvi’ is that Jacob Verghese of ‘Savaari’ is directing this film and Ram Babu Productions Soorappa Babu is independently producing this film. Manikanth Khadri of Ganesha, Garagasa and Savaari has already commended the song composition for the film. This is scheduled to launch in September month.

It is a fabulous offer for intelligent director Jacob Verghese on his debut film ‘Savaari’ completing 125days.

Meanwhile Soorappa Babu is producing this film independently raising IDBI loan. He needs a major break because last year ‘Bandhu Balaga’ was a disaster for him.

Puneeth Rajakumar the power house of Kannada cinema has completed the schedule of ‘Ram’ a film for Aditya Baby. Puneeth will be taking Soori of ‘Dhuniya, Inthi Ninna Preethiya and Junglee’ fame after ‘Prithvi’. Soori’s film and the next one ‘Nadodigal’ – both will be from the family banner for Puneeth Rajakumar.

It is after all these commitments Puneeth Rajakumar is working in the banner of Soundarya Jagadish.

Rs 6 Crore collection in First week - Raaj

What is the first week collection of ‘Raj The Showman’? I do not talk about the terms of money but what I would says is that 31 lakh people watched the film in 101 theatres says director Prem.

What is the boost for such an energetic response? Undoubtedly it is Puneeth Rajakumar. Although director Prem is not interested in talking about the money it has collected in the first week the truth is that the first week share is over Rs.6 crores from the counters.

In Bellary from two theatres 13 show of ‘Raj The Showman’ was shown. I did not speak to anyone for three days. The collection of first week is equal to 100 days collection says director Prem proudly. This is the answer for the detractors say Prem.

Puneeth Rajakumar admits that he had seen the ups and down of this film. But the portion of positive response is quite impressive and not satisfying in some cases…quality of course is fantastic and I agree fans disappointment is there he says.

Cameraman Krishna is of the opinion ‘Raj The Showman’ is a fresh lease of life for Kannada industry. No week end or month end affected this film. Every day of shooting was challenge for me. How I have to please with good work was my preparation everyday said Krishna.

Grand honor to CM and Colleagues by KFCC

The stage is set again for a grand function on Tuesday evening at Gayathri Vihar Palace in the premises of Bangalore Palace. The stage is for honoring the government for introducing the Anti Piracy Act – Karnataka Bootleggers, Drug Peddlars, Gamblers, Goondas (Control) Act in the state legislature assembly and Council.

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce is honoring the Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Home Minister VS Acharya, information minister Khatta Subramanya Naidu, Transport minister R Ashok, rural development minister Shoba Karandlaje, Suresh Kumar Urban Development, law and parliamentary affairs minister.

The event on Tuesday evening starts at 6 pm. For one hour the changed lyrics of Ninnidhale Ninnidhale….will be Nimmindhale Nimmindhale…..in appreciation of the BS Yediyurappa and cabinet colleagues. This one is for the introduction of the Anti Piracy Act. The top artists of Kannada cinema Dr Vishnu, Upendra, Shivarajakumar, Vijay, Ramesh Aravind, Thara, Doddanna, Hema Chaudhary and others are taking part.

Later an exhilarating Attakalari art handled by Jayachandran will gather good attention. It is in this program the budding star Chiranjeevi Sarja, Sharmila Mandre, Aindrita Ray, Yash and others are taking part.

The concept to honor the government is derived by actor Ramesh Aravind and he is closely regulating the things for Tuesday evening event. The rehearsal for this event was going on for one week.

‘Ullasa Utsaha’ Audio Release

On Sunday morning at The city Institute next to Makkala Koota the two darlings of children and elders today – Power star Puneeth Rajakumar and Golden star Ganesh gathered for the audio release of ‘Ullasa Utsaha’ Kannada film of producer BP Somu and Thyagaraj.

Puneeth Rajakumar sitting pretty with success said the film seems to be a family package and should win in the box office and wished good for the dear friend Golden star Ganesh.

Golden star Ganesh was in surprise when he saw Puneeth Rajakumar to the dais to release the audio. I did not know till now that Puneeth sir would release my film audio today said Ganesh in his usual smile. The additional two songs are made again and other tunes are from original Telugu film ‘Ullasanga Utsahanga’ admitted Ganesh.

Aditya music of Hyderabad has released album to the market. Director Devaraj Palan welcomed the gathering and thanked for a good venture for his debut direction. The film is releasing in the next month he stated. Producer Thyagarju thanked everyone for making it to the audio release.

Raaj Creates history, Rs. 1 crore collection in a single day

History is written on this Friday 14th August that is prior to the historic day tomorrow Independence day of India– the day of mega opening of ‘Raj The Showman’ – The Puneeth Rajakumar and director Prem combination showed new bench mark for the box office collection. Rs.1 crore is the collection from the 450 shows per day in over 125 theatres in Karnataka. In five days of screening of ‘Raj The Showman’ the producers are safe.

It is a cloud nine situation for Seethabhaireshwara combines that gave super hit ‘Gaja’ Kannada film in the last year. Producers Suresh Gowdru and Srinivasamurthy deserve congratulations for the excellent entertainer called ‘Raj The Showman’.

From the 125 theatres showing four shows it is 500 shows all over Karnataka. 500 audiences per show mean it amounts to 2.5 lakh audience watching the cinema for the first day. On an average Rs.40 is the ticket price kept for this calculation. It amounts to Rs.1 crore collections per day. In Bangalore city ‘Raj The Showman’ is released in 31 theatres that includes Santosh, PVR, Fun Cinema, Inox etc.

Coming to the mammoth opening in Bangalore ‘Raj The showman’ has created wonderful record and response. Puneeth Rajakumar came to watch the after interval action scene at Santosh theatre, director Prem, his wife actress Rakshita, Mamatha Rao who played the mother role in the cinema, cameraman S Krishna, music director Harikrishna, Adhi Lokesh and others watched the cinema at Santosh cinema.

‘Raj the Showman’ a fabulous entertainer is a well made cinema with lot of effort involved in every department. One of the fans of Puneeth Rajakumar raised objection to a particular scene (a character going for urinal just beside where Puneeth Rajakumar is sleeping in the prison). The particular hardcore fan was waiting for that character who insulted his guru Puneeth Rajakumar to come out to beat him.

At the Santosh theatre complex the 50 feet cut out of Puneeth Rajakumar is erected is once again the tallest. Just next to this is the 55 feet cut out of Dr.Rajakumar idol that is fitted electronically.
